My tiny little nephew was right at 7 pounds when I sent this to him, but they were much too big at that point. If you are reading this to try to gauge the size, assume that the size is more geared towards the child still being able to wear it at 6 months than for newborns. The fabric is soft and sweet though, so if you have a bigger baby to keep warm and cozy this is a perfect set. I'm sure my nephew will love it when he finally grows into it!
